NanoCoolers Receives $3 Million In New Funding

AUSTIN, TX -- NanoCoolers announced the receipt of $3 million from the Texas Emerging Technology Fund in conjunction with the CenTex Regional Center for Innovation and Commercialization, after a competitive application process

The company is developing a "refrigerator on a chip" solution that claims to improve semiconductor efficiency while dramatically reducing heat generated.

NanoCoolers is privately-held and backed by venture capital firms Austin Ventures and Draper Fisher Jurvetson.  The company has 16 employees and plans hire more as the product gets closer to completion.
